The Industrial Revolution also paved way for women’s liberation through practical yet fashionable attire like bloomers and corsets.
As we entered into the 20th century, fashion took on a whole new meaning with designers like Coco Chanel revolutionizing women’s wear by introducing comfortable yet chic pieces such as tailored suits and little black dresses. The World Wars brought about rationing leading people towards simpler designs but post-war era witnessed an explosion in creativity where experimentation with colors, patterns and cuts became popular.
Today, we live in a world where fast fashion dominates our wardrobes causing environmental concerns due to overconsumption. However, there is also growing awareness towards sustainable practices in the industry making conscious consumption and ethical fashion choices a trend in itself.
From clothing to style statements, the evolution of fashion has been a reflection of our changing values, beliefs and societal norms. It is an ever-changing industry that constantly adapts to the needs and desires of individuals.
